SolusTV / Refund policy
Refund policyWe do not offer refunds, and we are direct about why: you can run the entire platform on your own server for three days, at no cost, before you pay us anything. The trial exists so that nobody has to buy first and find out afterwards.
Three days free, on your own server, with no card required beyond signup. Once you buy a paid month, that payment is final. You can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal, and you keep the service until the period you paid for runs out.
SolusTV Software (“SolusTV”, “we”) provides SolusTV V2, a software licence installed on servers that you own or rent. Because you can evaluate the full platform free of charge before purchasing, all payments for paid subscription periods are final and non-refundable, except in the limited circumstances set out in section 6.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read alongside them.
Before any payment, you may install and run SolusTV V2 on your own hardware for three days at no cost. The trial is not a restricted demonstration: it is the product, running against your own streams, your own servers and your own customer load.
The trial includes every feature of the platform except AI service and GPU processing, which are part of the paid plan. Everything else — the engine, unlimited streaming servers, the active code system, MAG devices, resellers, the firewall, TV archive, EPG, monitoring and the API — is available to you during those three days.
We strongly encourage you to use the trial properly: test the streams you actually run, on the hardware you actually own, at the times your customers actually watch. If the platform does not do what you need, that is what the trial is for, and it costs you nothing.
If three days is not enough to evaluate SolusTV V2 for your situation, contact us before purchasing. We would far rather extend an evaluation than take a payment from somebody who is not sure.
Once you purchase a paid subscription period, that payment is not refundable, in whole or in part. This applies whether or not you install the software, whether or not you use it, and regardless of how much of the paid period remains.
In particular, we do not refund because:
A software licence cannot be returned. Once it is issued and installed on your infrastructure, the value has been delivered and cannot be taken back or resold. That is true of every self-hosted platform, not only ours.
Rather than absorb that in a higher price and process refunds afterwards, we chose the opposite arrangement: the risk sits with us before you pay, not with you after. You get three days of the real product for nothing, and in exchange the payment that follows is final. We think that is the fairer trade, and it keeps the price where it is.
Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. You may cancel at any time from your client area, or by opening a ticket, and we recommend doing so at least 48 hours before your renewal date so that the cancellation is processed in time.
When you cancel:
If a renewal payment is taken because a cancellation was submitted after the renewal date, that payment stands. Please cancel in good time.
There are narrow circumstances in which we will refund, because in each case the payment should not have been taken at all:
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of approval. The time it then takes to appear on your statement is set by your bank or payment provider, not by us.
Where an introductory or promotional price applies to a first payment, the discount applies to that payment only. Subsequent renewals are charged at the standard rate published on our pricing page. A discounted first payment is subject to this policy in exactly the same way as a full-price one.
If you believe a payment is wrong, please contact us first. Almost everything is resolved quickly by a ticket, and we would rather fix a genuine error than dispute it with a bank.
Raising a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first may result in immediate suspension of your licence and any associated accounts, and we reserve the right to decline future business. Where a chargeback is raised against a payment that this policy does not entitle you to recover, we will contest it and may recover the resulting fees from you.
SolusTV V2 is a business product, licensed to operators who run a streaming service commercially. It is sold on a business-to-business basis and is not intended for personal or household use.
Where consumer protection law nevertheless applies to you and grants a right that cannot be excluded by contract, nothing in this policy removes that right. Where the law permits a cancellation right for digital content or services to be waived, you agree that by requesting immediate access to the licence you ask us to begin performance right away and acknowledge that you lose any such cancellation right once we have done so.
